Silvio D. “Broc” Broccoli
Devoted Father & Grandfather
Mr. Silvio D. “Broc” Broccoli, 83, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Hospital of Central CT at Bradley Memorial Campus surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Sally (Berardo) Broccoli.
Silvio was born in Waterbury on June 21, 1930, son of the late Felix and Veldina ( Condelora ) Broccoli. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country during the Korean conflict. He was employed at Scovill Manufacturing for many years then was the Director of The Waterbury Housing Authority. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the V.F.W. Oakville Post 7330. Broc was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his close family of friends. But he most enjoyed spending quality time with his grandson Bobby in Rhode Island and listening to him play the piano.
He leaves a daughter, Debra Dolan and her husband Bob of Waterbury, a grandson, Bobby Dolan of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Lydia Boccialetti and her husband Gus, Esther Ciriello and her husband John.
Arrangements: Funeral will be held Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway to St. Michael’s Church, 62 St. Michael’s Drive, Waterbury for a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
