Gordis A. Doehling, of Clintonville passed away Wednesday morning, July 24, 2013 at St. Joseph Residence, New London.
The former Gordis Ann Jarvais was born June 27th in the Town of Bear Creek, Waupaca County, to Floyd and Elsie (Koehler) Jarvais. She was raised in the Bear Creek area and graduated from Clintonville High School in 1953. Gordis worked for well over 30 years as a CNA at Pine Manor Health Care Center, Embarrass, and retired in 2005. She enjoyed the outdoors, working in her vegetable garden, and growing beautiful flowers around her home. Her other interests included; traveling around the United States, learning about history, and she was an avid reader. Gordis loved to do embroidery work and gave them to her relatives for special occasions.
Survivors include three children; Charlotte (William) Kramer Sr. of Clintonville, Duaine (Lori) Doehling of Clintonville, and Janice (Randy) Bauman of Appleton. There are nine grandchildren: Shelly (Steve) Jarosinski, Chris Molthen, Bill (Jen) Kramer, Christina (Tom) Hubbard, Alicia (Jim) Mengert, Nathan Doehling, Tabatha, Brandon and Colby Bauman. Gordis is further survived eleven great grandchildren, a sister, Leola Klemp of Appleton, many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by parents.
The family wishes to thank all the nurses and staff at St. Joseph Residence and Appleton Medical Center.
A private family service will be held on Friday, July 26th at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville. Rev. Vilas Mazemke will officiate and burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
