Darryl F. “Hans” Hanssen, 76, Brainerd, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, in Minneapolis from complications from heart surgery. Hans was born March 24,1937, in Fairfax, MN, to Floyd and Ruth (Anderson) Hanssen.

He married Ruth Ann Bye on Nov. 25, 1961, in Litchfield, MN. Hans was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He loved vacations at the lake with his daughters and grandchildren and his annual fishing and deer hunting trips with his friends.
