Earl H. Davis

Earl H. Davis, 85, of Perryville, MO died July 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1928 in Perry County, MO, son of William and Hilda (Bohnert) Davis. He and Zelma Behrle were married on April 23, 1949. She preceded him in death on January 2, 1994. Mr. Davis was a meat cutter at Rozier’s. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 133 and V.F.W. Post 4282. He was a US WW II Army Veteran. Survivors include one daughter; Norma Jean (David) Neumann of St. Louis, one daughter in law; Donna Voelker of Perryville, two sisters; Dorothy Renner and Beulah Weisbrod both of Perryville, two sisters in law; Verna (Pete) Gibbar and Joan (Glen) Behrle both of Perryville, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son; William “Bill” Voelker, one brother; Ernest Davis and two sisters; Marie Clements and Bertha Cairns. Visitation will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Monday, July 22 from 8:30 – 10:30 am. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Church on Monday at 10:30 with Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with military graveside service provided by American Legion Post 133 and MO Delta Team. Memorials are preferred for Charity of Choice. Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
