Doris Ann Mann, 91, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013, at Frankfort Pines Assisted Living where she had been a resident for several years. Doris as she was known to everyone was born in Owosso, the daughter of Daphne and Herbert Mann on January 3, 1922.

In 1937, Doris, her mother and her sister, Joyce, moved to Flint, and then on to Ann Arbor where she attended the University of Michigan. Upon graduation she enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Ft. Monmouth, New York, in charge of the motor pool. After the war, Doris returned to Ann Arbor and was employed at the University of Michigan data processing department where she held various positions eventually to a department manager before her retirement in 1982.

After retirement she spent the next 20 years traveling with friends in her motor home before settling in Texas. Doris moved back to her beloved Ann Arbor then to Frankfort to be closer to her family in her final years.

Doris is survived by: her sister, Joyce Wilke; 2 nephews, Gary and Mark Wilke, her great-nephew, Jeff Wilke; and her great-niece, Kimberly Lewicki.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; and her nephew, David.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Benzonia Township Cemetery in Benzonia with Pastor Michael Belinsky officiating.

The Bennett-Barz Funeral Home, in Beulah, is in charge of arrangements.
