Beverley J. Behnke

Beverley J. Behnke, 85, of Fond du Lac, died peacefully Monday, July 15, 2013, at St. Francis Home.

She was born on September 27, 1927, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Clarence F. and Goldie C. Romaine Hill.

On September 11, 1948, she married Paul S. Behnke at Division Street Methodist Church, Fond du Lac.

Beverley worked at First Federal Bank until she and her husband started a family.

She was a life-long member of Covenant United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three children: Susan (Robert) Brockman of Verona, Scott (Mari) Behnke of Eden, and Stacy (Angie) Behnke of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren: Abby Brockman, Taryn Behnke, Eric Brockman, Matthew Behnke, Andrew Behnke, and Samantha Behnke; two cousins: Muriel Hadfield and Marilyn Uelman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Beverley loved her family and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Paul, on October 23, 2001.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Covenant United Methodist Church, 20 North Marr Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Michael Morning officiating. Entombment will be in Rienzi Cemetery.

The visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, and on Thursday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Covenant United Methodist Church, St. Francis Home, and Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Francis Home for their kindness and care during Beverley’s stay.
