Frances J. “Fran” Koschnick, 88, of Buckley died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Heartland Health Care Center of Paxton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Buckley with Rev. Daniel A. Olson officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Buckley.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Baier Family Funeral Services, 306 E Lincoln, Buckley and at the church Wednesday on hour before the service.
Fran was born October 27, 1924 in Buckley a daughter of Frank A. and Violet E. Eyre Fox. She married Wilfred G. Koschnick May 5, 1945 in Buckley. He preceded her in death April 25, 1991.
Mrs. Koschnick is survived by four daughters, Jeanne (Dennis) Short of Buckley, Marcia (Duane) Lane of Paxton, Sheila (Tim) Schofield of Paxton, Sylvia (Stan) Watson of Cissna Park; one son, Jerry (Patty) Koschnick of Paxton; 7 grandchildren; 3 step granddaughters; 10 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; 1 step great-great grandchild; 1 sister, Winona Weber of Rantoul and 1 brother, Jim Fox of Danville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Mrs. Koschnick graduated from Buckley High School. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Buckley.
Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, gardening and canning. She enjoyed watching the birds in her yard especially goldfinch. Fran was very family oriented and always cherished their times together.
