Robert "Bob" Wilke, age 75 years, of Tigerton passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 at his home.
Robert David Wilke was born September 29, 1937 in West Bend, WI, to David and Lucille (Hess) Wilke. His family moved to Milwaukee in 1946 and they lived across the street from Old Orchard Field for many years. Early in life, Bob was a printing press operator at Evert Container in Milwaukee. He entered the U.S. Army and served in the Berlin Crisis in 1961. In 1965 Bob went to work for Pabst Brewery in Milwaukee and was employed there for 30 years, retiring in 1995. After retirement, he settled in Tigerton where he was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post #239.
Survivors include cousins, many other relatives, and dear friends. Bob is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 17th at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Rev. Matthew Uttenreither will officiate and burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Military Honors will be provided at the cemetery by members of the American Legion Post #239, Tigerton. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton, is assisting the family.
