Mary Elizabeth Carlson, 91, of Bevier, MO, passed away on Monday, July 08, 2013, at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon. Mary was born on July 29, 1921, in Bevier, the daughter of Lloyd and Vanchie (Cashett) Burnam. She was united in marriage to William Charles Carlson. Mary was a member of the Anne Helm Chapter of NSDAR, charter member of ABWA, 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, lifetime member of the Order of the Amaranth, member of the Garden Club, the White Shrine and was an avid reader and seamstress. She attended the United Church of Bevier. Mary is survived by her three daughters; Candace Kelly of Bevier, Cheryl Burnam of Phoenix, AZ, and Maretta Demmon and her husband Terry of Valparaiso, IN; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and one brother Warren Burnam of Greeley, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Charles Carlson, two grandchildren, and one sister, Margaret Kelso. Graveside memorial services will be Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the Richardsdale Cemetery in Bevier. The time will be announced at a later date. The family suggests memorials to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
