Tyler Lee Armacost

U.S. Veteran

Tyler Lee Armacost, 27, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013. He was a resident of Franklin. He was born on September 10, 1985 in Muncie, Indiana to Scott and Karen (Goen) Armacost. They lovingly survive in Franklin. He is also survived by his two brothers, Brandon Armacost of Etna Green, Indiana and Austin Armacost and husband Jake Lees of West Yorkshire, England. Also surviving are maternal grandparents, Jack and Pat Goen of Muncie. He was preceded in passing by his paternal grandparents, James and Betty Armacost. Tyler attended Franklin Community Schools for many years. He was a 2004 graduate of Edinburgh Community High School. He attended Franklin College. He served proudly two tours of duty in Iraq with the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne, 1st Battalion 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment. He was also a member of the Indiana National Guard. Tyler was a member of the Whiteland Veterans of Foreign War. One of Tyler's favorite pastimes was spending hours watching films. There wasn't an actor he didn't know, a movie he couldn't name, or a scene he couldn't re-enact. He and his father watched the Harry Potter series well over one hundred times. He was a caring, loving, selfless man who would give you the Ed Hardy shirt off his back. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. A celebration of Tyler's life will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with full military honors following at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
