A longtime Chelsea resident, he passed away peacefully in his Chelsea home on June 27th. He was 77 years of age. Born in Everett, he was the son of Frederick and Gertrude (Rogers) Holland. He attended local schools in Chelsea and following high school he enlisted in the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged, he re-enlisted serving in the US Air Force and again in the US Army. He worked for many years as a mail clerk for the U.S. Postal Service at the South Boston Postal Annex until his retirement. He was a member of the American Postal Workers Union. Frank was a caring man who enjoyed sports and feeding the birds and cats in his neighborhood.
He is the loving son of the late Frederick and Gertude (Rogers) Holland. Dear brother of Grace Janiak and her husband Michael of Salem. Cherished uncle of Debra Zelano and her husband Carlo of Beverly, Susan O’Hearn and her husband Frank of Tewksbury, Linda McLaughlin and her husband Scott of Salem and Kristen Taglieri and her husband David of Peabody. He is also survived by 7 great nieces and nephews.
Honoring Frank’s wishes, Funeral services were conducted privately.
