Peter Paul Cereghino

Peter Paul CEREGHINO June 26, 1922 – June 21, 2013

Peter Cereghino passed away on June 21st. Born June 26, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York, son of Joseph J. Cereghino and Candida Cereghino.

Peter grew up in Fife, WA, where his father was a founding member of the Colonial Gardens, and where Peter worked alongside his father at the Gardens. After graduating from Fife High School, Peter continued his studies at Washington State University and St. Martin’s College. In 1942, he enlisted in the Coast Guard and was stationed at Winchester Bay, Oregon. After four years of service, he continued his education at Seattle University and graduated in 1949.

In 1950, Peter married Priscilla Mullins, daughter of John R. and Olga Mullins of Yakima, Washington. Peter lived in Bellevue with Priscilla where they raised their family, while he worked in all facets of the insurance business for over 55 years.

Peter is survived by his beloved wife, Priscilla; his three children, Paula, Pamela and Pat, and their spouses, Fred, Steve and Suzette; four grandchildren; Benjamin, Tyler, Katelyn and Colin. Peter will also be dearly missed by his in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

In the end, Merrill Gardens was his home, and to all the wonderful people there, Thank You! Recitation of the Rosary will be Thursday, June 27th at 7 PM and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 28th at 12 Noon, BOTH at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 4900 NE 50th St, Seattle. Interment, Calvary.
