Dennis Larry Crain was born on August 14, 1942 in Parma, Missouri to the late Ralph Winslow Crain & Ruby Kitchens Crain. He departed this life on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at his residence in Malden at the age of 70 years 10 months and 8 days.

Dennis Larry Crain had retired from Barton's Lumber in Malden & Parma after 35 years of service. He was the owner of the Malden Pawn Shop for several years, a former member of the Lion's Club and a city council member. He was of the Baptist faith. Dennis Larry Carin was united in marriage to Melanie Rowe on December 6, 1986 in Malden. She survives of the home.

His other survivors include: Sons: Christopher Crain & wife, Christina of Lufkin, Texas, Cecil Crain & wife, Li of Castro Valley, California, Cason Crain & wife, Annie of Memphis, Tennessee and Rowe Arrends & wife, Becki of Jackson, Missouri. Special Mother-in-law: Dixie Rowe of Malden. 9 Grandchildren: Sarah Early, Ricky Sweatman, Christopher Daniel Crain, Hunter Ward Crain, Sheldon Kao Crain, Kaleb Rowe Arrends, Noah Makai Arrends, Lillian Everette Crain & Mary Cameron Crain. 4 Great-grandchildren: Kaelin Early, Piper Early, Landon Lagerwey & Aden Lagerwey. 2 Nephews: Pete Shaw & Jim Shaw. Brother-in-law: Bob Shaw of Dexter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Nelda Shaw.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Landess Chapel in Malden.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 26 2013, at the Landess Chapel in Malden with Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Interment will be at Memorial Park cemetery in Malden.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bootheel Youth Museum in Malden.
