Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend
Mr. Adam Carmen DeSocio, 85, of 19 Hollis Lane, formerly of Pearl Lake Road Waterbury and George Street Prospect, passed away Saturday June 22, 2013 at his residence in the presence of his loving family after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Peck) DeSocio.
Adam was born in Waterbury on July 19, 1927, son of the late Alexandro and Carmela (Trentalange) DeSocio. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked at Bristol Babcock for many years retiring in 1989. He was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He was a member of the VFW Post 8075 Prospect. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his wife of 55 years, he leaves a son, Joseph DeSocio and his wife Abby of Waterbury, three daughters, Theresa DeSocio of Plainville with whom he lived, Cheryl Mead of Ludlow, MA and Mary DeSocio and Jessi Cassin of Plainville; two sisters, Rose Celone and her husband Donald of Waterbury and Dorothy Shoneck of St. Petersburg, FL, two grandchildren, Nicholas Vasquez and Travis Janeway, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by seven siblings.
Arrangements: Funeral Wednesday 9:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home 430 Chase Parkway to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for a Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
