Wharton: Henry “Hank” Doblosky, Jr. passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, June 21st, 2013 at St. Clare’s Hospital/Denville after a long illness. He was 75 years of age.
Hank was born in Dover and raised in the Lower Berkshire Valley area until moving to Wharton in 1964.
He was a peacetime Navy Veteran.
Mr. Doblosky retired in 1984 from the Wharton Police Department as Chief after 25 years of service.
Hank was a life member of the F.O.P Lodge #24 of Wharton, and their NJ State F.O.P. Delegate for over 40 years as well as a member of the Morris County Chief of Police Association. Henry was also a member of the Acacia Lodge #20 of Dover (Formerly of Wharton).
Hank enjoyed trips with his family to Disney World and Cape Canaveral to watch the launchings.
Survived by his wife of 50 years: Alice J. (nee Waer)
Son: Phillip J. Doblosky and his girlfriend Nikki Quigley
Daughter: Linda J. Doblosky and her boyfriend Donald Vane.
Granddaughter: Belynda Doblosky.
Great Grandson: Logyn Sage Doblosky.
Jack and his wife Joyce.
Peter and his wife Joanne.
Jim and his wife Peggy.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 3-5 and 7-9pm on Tuesday, June 25 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Hank’s memory to the Wharton F.O.P. Lodge #24, PO Box 40, Wharton, NJ 07885-0040 would be appreciated.
