Bertha Edna Jackson

Bertha Edna Jackson was born, January 11, 1930 to the late Ollie J. Wilson and Linnie Wilcox in Seguin, Texas.

Bertha relocated to San Antonio, Texas and attended Phillis Wheatley High School. After graduating high school, she went on to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio and Incarnate Word.

Bertha met the love of her life, her darling husband, Master Sergeant Robert Zestell Jackson. They were married on March 7, 1952.

Bertha received Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Peoples Missionary Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas under the Pastoral Leadership of her eldest son, Pastor Larry Duane Jackson.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; Ollie J. Wilson and Linnie Wilcox, son; Robert Terrence Jackson and brother; Louie May Wash.

Bertha leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband; Ret. Master Sergeant Robert Zestell Jackson, son; Pastor Larry Duane Jackson (LeVivian), sisters; Mattie Douglas and Lenora Moon, grandchildren; Temeka Jackson, Larry Jackson, Jr. Joseph Jackson, Quinton Jenifer and many more grandchildren and great grandchildren and many many more cousins, aunts and “Kin Folks” and the San Antonio community whom she embraced as her friends and family.
