Services for Arvada Allie Brimberry age 89 of Grapeland, will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Sunset Christian Church with Dr. Vance Drum officiating. Graveside services will follow in Davis Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Arvada passed over Saturday to her heavenly home in the comfort of her residence. She was born May 4, 1924 in Hart County, KY., to Ruel Lambert Overfelt and Eunice E. Figgett Overfelt. Arvada Brimberry was a member of the Sunset Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star, Grapeland. She worked in the insurance billing for Dr. E.P. Ramsey. Mrs. Brimberry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bennie F. Brimberry, sons Lanny R. Atwell and Samuel Atwell. She is survived by her daughter Brenda Fountain of Grapeland, her son Wm. Gregory Atwell of Katy, sons Mike Brimberry, Ronnie Brimberry, and daughter Vada Brimberry, a brother D.L. Overfelt of Gallatin, TN. and a sister Imogene Routh of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mark Pence, Mike Newell, Clint McRae, Alan Kepley, Mike Brimberry, and Jason Brimberry. Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel, Grapeland, TX.
