Dr. Derek Edward Alois Dotzko

DOTZKO: Dr. Derek Edward Alois Passed away suddenly in Peterborough on Friday June 14, 2013. Dr. Derek Dotzko of Lakefield in his 47th year. Derek and his wife Michelle opened Lakefield Chiropractic and Massage Therapy in 2000, where he will be remembered by his many patients and friends for his outstanding chiropractic care. Derek enjoyed working with his hands and spent many hours building and customizing items, working on his yards, riding his motorcycle and dirt bikes as well as playing hockey in Apsley and Douro. He was a member of Clementi Masonic Lodge #313, Lakefield. Loved and missed by his wife of 15 years, Michelle McLean. Also missed by his mother Betty Dotzko of Peterborough and his sisters Mary-Kathryn Dotzko (Frank Zelic) and Samantha Stewart (John), both of Toronto. Lovingly remembered by his mother and father-in-law Margaret and Bryce McLean and brothers-in-law Mark McLean (Jan Calvert) and Steven McLean (Shelley), both of Peterborough. Loved by his nieces and nephews Clara, Daniel, Sarah, Emily, Cole, Katie, Samantha, Jacob, Nicholas and Noah. Predeceased by his father Daniel and his sister Sarah Jane. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Wednesday June 19, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the A.W. Mackenzie Memorial Chapel of Lakefield College School on Thursday June 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lakefield. A reception will follow at Burleigh Island Lodge. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the C.N.I.B. as expressions of sympathy.
