William "Elwood" Alexander of Pontiac departed this life at the age of 91. He was the son of the late Elwood and Cornelia Alexander. Father of: Eugene Clark, Donna Alexander, Wilma J. (Oliver) Bell, Renee D. Brown, Debra L. (Gary) Burkett, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, he was the brother of Georgia Venson and the late Edwin Alexander, and is also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends. Mr. Alexander was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church for over 66 years and where he served in the Usher Ministry and Culinary Arts Department. Mr. Alexander will lie in repose on Thursday June 6, 2013 from 12 noon to 8:00pm at Cobb's Funeral Home. Mr. Alexander's Homegoing Celebrating will be held on Friday June 7, 2013 at 9:00am at the Church 174 Branch St. Pontiac, Michigan with Rev. Keyon S. Payton, Pastor and Rev. John Steverson, officiating the family will receive friends from 8:30 to 9:00am Friday at the Church, and he will be laid to rest at Great lakes National Cemetery Holly, Michigan
