Lilla M. Austin

Home going celebration for Lilla Mayhue Austin, 59 of Tampa who died on Thursday, May 30, 2013 with her loving family by her side will be held on Saturday, June 8th at 11:00a.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 3000 N. 29thStreet, Tampa, Florida with Pastor Wilfred E. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Tampa, Florida.

Born in Madison, Florida to the parentage of Columbus Stevens and Alice Mayhue. Ms. Austin was a cherished mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend who will always be remembered for her warm smile, sense of humor, kind heart, and giving back to the community.

She met her husband Arthur Austin in 1970 and after a 3 year courtship they were united in holy matrimony in 1973.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Joseph Austin; sisters, Charlie Mae Dorcey and Maelizzie Mayhue; brothers, Russell and Nathaniel Mitchell; in-laws, Joseph and Theresa Austin.

She is survived by her ex-husband, Arthur Austin; sons, Arthur O. Austin and Lavel O. Austin; daughter, Rickydra Austin; grandchild, Katrell Austin; sisters, Pinky Billingsley, Minnie Luhall, Inez Archie; brother, Henry Mitchell; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews; brothers- in- law, Tyron Austin and Robert (Red) Williams and other loving relatives and friends.

There will be a viewing on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 5:00-9:00pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL 33605 and the family will receive friends in the chapel from 6-7 p.m.
