WATERTOWN, N.Y. — Todd P. Gilpin, 52, of 27672 Route 37, passed Monday, May 27, in the emergency room at Samaritan Medical Center after being stricken at home.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 31 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Marlow officiating.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at the funeral home.
Born Feb. 4, 1961, in Watertown, a son of Walter Gilpin and Patricia Groff, he graduated from General Brown High School in 1980.
Todd married Sue Ann Gilpin, his high school sweetheart, on Sept. 6, 1980, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Brownville.
The couple have owned and operated the Three G Construction Company in the town of Pamelia for several years.
Todd enjoyed snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle, boating and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He belonged to the T.I. Snowmobiler Club.
Among his survivors are his wife, Sue Gilpin, Watertown; three daughters and two sons in law, Jennifer and Todd Delmar, Oswego, Amanda and Gregory Mitchell, Watertown, Airman 1st Class Samantha Gilpin, stationed at Hurlburt Field, FL; two grandchildren, Hunter “Mighty Mike” Mitchell and Sawyer “Sisser Bug” Mitchell; a sister, Cindy Gilpin, Ocala, FL; a brother and sister in law, William and Tina Gilpin, Watertown; a stepsister, Mary Ellen Longway, Watertown; a stepbrother and his wife, Larry and Sheila Groff, Watertown; several nieces and nephews.
