(nee Williams) Age 92, of Whitefish Bay and Milwaukee, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2013, at Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care. Jayne was born November 8, 1920 to Owen J. and Persis (nee Humphrey) Williams, immigrants from Wales. She attended Carroll College and Layton School of Art, and worked as a designer at Hansen Glove Co. of Chicago. In the 1960s, she worked hand coloring black and white photos at an Oconomowoc photography studio, and throughout her life painted award-winning still lifes and landscape oils for herself and family. Jayne loved to travel whenever she could, and inspired her large extended family with her strength of character and great sense of humor. She continued to paint, knit, and write poetry up to her last days. Jayne is survived by her children Richard Klatte Prestor of Whitefish Bay, WI; Bill (Hilde Dewulf) Klatte of Greenfield, WI; Kate Thompson (Dan Simon) of Manitoulin Island, Ontario; and Owen (Angie Glocka) Klatte of Glendale, CA. She is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many loving relatives and friends. Jayne was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Klatte, her parents, her brother, Griffith (Griff) Williams and sisters Eronnway (Ronnie) Chesbrough and Suzanne (Sue) Fuerstenau, all of the Milwaukee area. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Alexian Village Chapel, 9301 N. 76 St., Milwaukee on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 3PM - 4PM with a Memorial Service at 4:00PM. Private burial Rock Lake Cemetery in Lake Mills, WI. The family gratefully offers thanks to the staffs at Alexian Village and Seasons Hospice, for their sincere kindnesses and wonderful efforts. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Alexian Village Spirit Committee.
