Mark Exelby, age 58, of Almont, Michigan, passed away after a short illness Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Henry Ford - Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. Mark Neil Exelby was born May 2, 1955 in Pontiac, Michigan. He was the son of Kenneth and Dorotha Exelby. He grew up and lived all of his life in the Almont area. He was an Almont High School graduate of the Class of 1975. Mark's life companion for 22 + years and the love of his life has been Lucy Pardon. He had been employed by Almont High School . He retired from Almont Schools as a Custodian. He worked at the schools for 31+ years. He was a member of and Past-President of the Almont Jaycees. Mark was always a proud supporter of Almont Raiders athletics and of all the Almont community groups. Surviving are the love of his life: Lucy Pardon of Almont; his brother: Kenneth "Kenny" Exelby of Almont; nieces: Lynn Van Horn and Jean Van Horn. Mark is preceded in death by his parents: Kenneth & Dorotha Exelby ; his sister: Eileen Van Horn and by niece Susan Van Horn. Funeral service will take place 11:30 am Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City. Pastor Jerry Schriber will officiate. Burial will follow in the Almont (Hough) Cemetery, Almont, MI. Friends may call at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 Main Street, Imlay City where the family will be available for visiting : 3-5 & 6-8 pm Wednesday & Thursday.
