Raymond A. Courchesne, 88 of Manchester, NH died May 15, 2013 at the Concord Hospital in Concord, NH after a long illness.
He was a life long resident of Manchester.
Mr. Courchesne was born in Manchester, NH on Nov. 15, 1924 a son of the late Adelard and Mary (Boisvert) Courchesne.
Mr. Courchesne was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII.
Following his service in the military, he owned and operated Ray’s Taxi in Manchester. Before retirement, he was employed with E.D. Swett in Concord for many years.
In addition to his parents, he is pre-deceased by three brothers, Leo, Emile, and Harold Courchesne, and three sisters, Rose Gagnon, Gazelle Blanchette, and Yvette Belleveau.
Members of his family include his wife Lorraine (Desrochers) Courchesne of Manchester, two sons, Daniel and David Courchesne both of Manchester, a daughter and son in-law, Suzanne and Howard Young of Merrimack, five grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, a sister Jean Gagnon of Manchester, and several nieces and nephews.
A committal service with military honors will be held in the chapel of the NH Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen Monday at 10:30 AM.
