Shirley Wilson Coldiron, 65, of Itasca went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 14, 2013, following a graceful battle with cancer. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel in Itasca. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. at Mount Bethel Cemetery in Gary. She was born July 25, 1947, in Houston to U. H. Wilson Sr. and Leattice Thompson. Shirley was well known in Itasca for her loving and giving nature. She was a beloved wife, nurturing mother, respected individual by all, of the Christian faith and never met a stranger. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and five siblings, Joe Lee Wilson, U. H. (Pinky) Wilson Jr., Donald Wayne Wilson, Frankie James Wilson and Dorothy Singletary. Survivors include: her husband, Donnie Edward Coldiron; three children, William Anthony Coleman of Waxahachie, Zonia Lynn Rosebush and David of Cleveland and Zara Lynn Osteen and Jeremy of Waxahachie; three grandchildren, Rebeccah Rosebush, Cody Osteen and Stephanie Osteen; two stepchildren; Victoria Yvonne O'Neal and Elena Vivian McPhee; two stepgrandchildren, Nicholas Coldiron and Maywen MacPhee; three brothers, Jim Wilson and Pat, Alvis Wilson and Gayla and James Wilson and Sherry; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends she was blessed to have.
