Lois Irene Fegley

Lois A. Fegley, 93 of Harrison Township, passed from this life at 5:05 a.m., Thursday at the Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on January 1, 1920, in Craigville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Clarence R. and Anna E. (Gahman) Abbott. On May 11, 1941, she married Chester Lloyd Fegley who preceded her in death on May 7, 2003.Also preceding her in death are a daughter, Mary Jane Bredemeyer; a grand daughter, Katie Rebekah Fegley; and a brother, Walter N. Abbott. Family survivors include her children, Nancy Gipson of Ft. Wayne, Barbara (Winston Blenckstone) Fegley of Baltimore, MD, Richard (Karen) Fegley of rural Van Wert County, Joan (Craig) Ford of Saginaw, MI, Floyd (Mary Jane) Fegley of Ft. Wayne, Dennis (Debra) Fegley of Van Wert, and Dwight (Vicki) Fegley of Bella Vista, AR; her sister, Esther Jane Henrey of rural Van Wert County; a brother, Roscoe E. Abbott of rural Van Wert County; fifteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren. Lois was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church, where she was active in the Church family including the Jubilee Sunday School class and support of overseas missions. She was an award-winning quilter, having exhibited quilts in numerous shows in Ohio, Indiana and Florida. She was also a member of the Auxiliary of the Van Wert Camp of Gideons International. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 6, 2013, at Calvary Evangelical Church with Pastor W. Clark Williman officiating. Burial will follow at Van Wert Woodland Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 1 - 6 p.m., at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the Church. Preferred memorials are to Calvary Missions or the Van Wert Camp of Gideons International.
