Galen L. “Gator” Arnold age 59 of Brown City died May 8, 2013 at home with his family around. He was born August 2, 1953 to Edgar and Barbara Arnold. Galen graduated from Brown City High School Class of 1972. He married Barbara Joumas on January 31, 1996. Galen worked for Ford Motor Company for 35 years including many years at the Romeo Plant. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt most anything as well as fish. He enjoyed a woodworking and as a mechanic he liked to tinker around and fix things. He is survived by his wife Barbara Arnold, 7 children Galen W. (Billie) Arnold, Charlotte (Joseph) Weaver, Theresa (Kipp) Rannler, Michael Beatty, Jennifer (Nathan) Boller, Matthew Beatty, Mark Arnold, 8 grandchildren Dylan, Jasmine, Austin, Reese, Ryan, Laney, Hayden, Conner, mother Barbara Arnold, brothers Edgar Arnold, David Arnold, Stephen Arnold, Michael Arnold and two sisters Marilee Wilcox, Karen Tosch He is preceded in death by his father Edgar and a sister Deborah Arnold. A gathering with visitation and viewing will be at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City from 5:00 – 8:00 and Sunday from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Brown City Missionary Church at 8935 Burnside Road. Burial will be in Burnside Township Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice.
