Robert Walter Jr. was born on September 28, 1924 to the proud parents of Robert Walter Sr. II and Annie Walter of Monroe Louisiana; He was the oldest of three children. Robert married Edna Carolyn Carlock in 1947, to this marriage three children were born, Glenn Ace Walter, Gwendolyn Marie Walter, and Kenny Walter. In 1956, he was united in holy matrimony to Bettie Jo Walter. To this union, three children were born. Louardie Jo Walter, Garland Robert Walter, Benny Fitzgerald Walter. Roberts early christian training he received from his parents and formal education was obtained in Monroe Louisiana. Robert graduated from High School, in the 1940's they migrated to Los Angeles, California. He joined the military and served our country in the United States Army during World War II from 1943-1946. After receiving an Honorable discharge from the Army, he worked for Kaiser Steel in Long Beach, California and Sears & Roebuck in Los Angeles, California. In 1973, he moved his family to Perris, California, where he was employed with 3M Mining Company for over 20 years until he retired. Robert was a very hard working man and instilled his work ethics in his son's. He enjoyed life, and was known for his, telling it like it is personality. His favorite past time was watching TV, WWF Wrestling, old cowboy movies, on Sunday morning watching Pastor Fred Price on TBN. Robert loved reminiscing about the past and telling jokes. This always made the family laugh. In the evening of May 5, 2013 Robert was called to his eternal resting place after a long illness while residing at Community Care Rehabilitation Center of Riverside, California for 5 years. His wife Bettie Jo Walter, daughter Louardie Jo Walter, mother Annie Walter and father Robert Walter Sr. II, son Kenny Walter, daughter Gwendolyn Marie Walter, two sister's Louise Griffen, and Viola Brooks, preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory; Three sons, Glenn Ace Walter of Los Angeles Ca, Garland R. Walter (Claudette) of Perris, Benny F. Walter (Gloria) of Perris, Ca. (7) Grand Daughters, Shyneese Mari Walter of Moreno Valley, Ca., Angelia Marie Walter of Perris, Ca.,Pamela Marie Norwood, of Compton, Ca., Chastuba Walter of Las Vegas, Nv., Keshawna Walter of Los Angeles, Ca., Katrina Walter of Los Angeles, Ca., Jonmica Walter of Los Angeles, Ca., (5) Grandsons, Claudell G. Walter (Melissa) of Temecula, Ca., Grayland Robert Walter of Perris, Ca., Glenn Kyle Walter of the United States Marines, Glenn Ace Walter of Los Angeles, Ca., Alvin Phillips of Bronx New York.(2) Great-Grand Son, Justin T. Walter, Christaysha Walter (5) great-granddaughters Chloe Walter, Kenisha Norwood, Shaquanja Norwood, Khalimah Wilkins, Tyshawne Walter and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
