Geraldine Fleming Beall

Geraldine (Fleming) Beall, 90 of Wellsburg, WV passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Valley Haven Geriatric Center in Beech Bottom, WV.

She was born on February 8, 1923 in Saginaw, MI a daughter of the late Edgar and Marie (Wall) Fleming. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Beall, Jr. in 1987, a daughter Christine Ann Beall in 1948, and two sisters, Doris Grady and Joyce Lowe.

Gerry was a 1941 graduate of Wellsburg High School. She was a homemaker and member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, and a volunteer for many years at the former St. John Parish School. She gave most of her life after raising her children to volunteering her time to Wheeling Medical Park, a member of the Blossom T.W.I.G. of the Ohio Valley Medical Center, a member of the friends of Brooke County Library, a former member of the Wheeling Women’s Club and a former trustee of Franklin Cemetery.

Surviving are four children, Charles H. (Sue) Beall, III, Wellsburg, WV, Christopher (Debbie) Beall, Roswell, GA, Courtney (Sharon) Beall, Wheeling, WV, Tina (Curtis) Postlethwait, Wellsburg, WV One brother, William “Doc” Fleming, Chicago, IL Six grandchildren, Jonathan (Deanna) Beall, Emily Beall, Christopher Beall, II, Katie (Paul) Juliano, Darien Beall, and Luke Beall Two step grandchildren, Brooke Perault, and Nikki (Daniel) Fender Four great grandchildren, Bailee Beall, Chase Beall, Paul Juliano, Karoline Juliano

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9th from 12:00 P.M. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 P.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 1300 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV with the Rev. Fr. Ronald Getsinger as celebrant. Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Family Food Pantry in care of St. John Catholic Church at 1300 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV 26070, the Salvation Army at 401 Commerce St. Wellsburg, WV 26070 or the Brooke County Library 945 Main St. Wellsburg, WV 26070.
