John P. Tabeek died on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 74.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, and formerly of Union City and North Bergen, NJ, Mr. Tabeek has resided in Levittown for the past 33 yars.
He worked as a warehouseman for General Motors and was a Shop Steward for UAW #1775.
Mr. Tabeek was a US Navy veteran and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks Lodge.
Beloved husband of the late Barbara Lynch, Mr. Tabeek is the loving father of John J. and Kevin M. (Nancy) Tabeek. He is the devoted grandfather of Cody J., Toni M., Bailee M., Noah M. and Emma M. Tabeek and the brother of Roseann (Francesco) Frisone. He will also be sadly missed by his nephew and godson, Joseph F. Frisone and his children, Alyssa C. and Anastasia M. as well as his faithful and trusted companion, Buddy.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held on Friday at 11;00 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
