Norbert Joseph “Sonny” Falkenstein, 92, of Rogers died Friday, May 3, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born January 25, 1921, at Victoria, Kansas, to Jacob Falkenstein and Rosa Quint Falkenstein. He was a farmer and service station owner in the Washburn Missouri community for many years until moving to Pea Ridge where he worked at Bella Vista as a landscaper and for Crafton & Tull as a maintenance man and mechanic. He loved to tinker and build things. He is preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Thomas Falkenstein, Thomas Mark Falkenstein, and Norbert L. Falkenstein and wife Dorothy; two brothers, and five sisters. Survivors are his wife Evelyn Marie Falkenstein of Pea Ridge; one son, Ray Falkenstein and wife Cheryl of Pea Ridge; one daughter, Diane Holland and husband Ray of Natchez, Mississippi; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Cremation was by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge. A graveside service is set for 2:00p.m. Tuesday, May 7 at Ruddick Cemetery with Rev. Ray Holland officiating.
