Georgia Ann Lawler Tyler, age 67, of Iowa Falls, died on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 6:30 P.M. Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Surl's Funeral Home by Father Paul Baldwin of St. Mark Catholic Church.Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Georgia was the daughter of Lois and Ed Lawler, and was born in Iowa Falls, on September 11, 1945. She graduated from Iowa Falls High School and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Iowa in 1967, majoring in Political Science and Psychology. Upon graduating Georgia worked in Chicago before accepting a position in Washington, D.C. She worked for former Governor Herschel Loveless, as special assistant at Chromolloy Corp, and moved on to join Jack Beaty and Associates. She married Thomas P. Tyler in 1977 and moved to Miami, Florida in 1980. She returned to the Washington DC area where she worked for Senator Paul Trible of Virginia and then as a special events coordinator for Susan B. Davis Events Group. Georgia moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico 1990 as director of Member Services for New Mexico Bankers Association and then Director of Human Resources for Rio Grande Credit Union. Georgia was fun-loving, had a mind of her own and was an avid dog lover, particularly her Scotty dogs. She was a member of the Scenic City Chapter of Questers. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Beth Lawler and Glo Lawler Reber (Richard). She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and T. Edward Lawler, a sister, Kathleen, and a half-brother, Robert.
