Norma Jean Allegra of Simi Valley, California, cherished wife, mother, mother-n-law, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, left us suddenly on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the age of 75.
She was born Norma Jean Church to Harry Glen & Eleanor Lois Church on November 8, 1937, in Los Angeles, California. On September 11, 1955, she married James Edward Sutton. In the years to follow they had 3 children: Jeffery James, John Edward and Julie Denise. Later divorced, she married Frank Leo Allegra on May 30, 1981. Since then, they have spent nearly 32 wonderful years together, settling down in Simi Valley where they have lived for the past 26 years.
She was loved by all whose hearts she touched. Those who knew her, realized she brought out the best in them. For everything she has given to so many, she will be greatly missed and certainly, never forgotten.
Preceding her in death were her parents Harry and Eleanor, stepfather Fred, stepmother Lola, father and mother-n-law Frank & Margaret Allegra, brother Lloyd and sister Billie, and sister-n-law Stephanie.
Surviving Norma are her husband Frank, sons & daughters-n-law Jeff & Rebecca, John & Janice, and daughter & son-n-law Julie & Tony, sister Lola, brother Don, 6 grandchildren, 1 stepgrandchild, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren, and many, many nieces and nephews.
A celebration to honor her wonderful life will be held at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home, 2636 Sycamore Drive, Simi Valley, CA, 93065 on Saturday, March 23rd at 11:00 am. The dress will be Hawaiian attire to celebrate her love of Hawaii. Following the celebration will be food and drink at the Allegra home, 5446 Aurelia, Simi Valley, CA.
