TOWNVILLE - Hazel Martin Boleman, 94, of Townville, widow of James Max Boleman, Sr., died Friday, April 19, 2013 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.
Born March 27, 1919 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Thurston and Bertha Campbell Martin. She was a graduate of Lander College and was a retired school teacher. Mrs. Boleman was a member of Townville Baptist Church and the Homemaker Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lindsey and husband, Ken of Townville; daughter-in-law, Pat L. Boleman of Townville; grandchildren, Julie Collins and husband, Jim, Jennifer Williams and husband, Robby, Jay Lindsey and wife, Nikki, and Amy Jennings and husband, Keith; great grandchildren, Lindsey and Wil Collins, Emma and Reece Williams, Ethan, Sam, and Laney Jennings, and Jordyn Lindsey; and brothers, Guy Martin of Anderson and Fred Martin of Greenville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Max "Jimmy" Boleman, Jr.; brothers, Eugene and Ralph Martin; and sisters, Vivian Richardson, Helen Ponder, and Mary Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Townville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. James Crittendon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson. The family is at the home of Ken and Mary Lindsey, 123 Shirley Circle, Townville.
