Mary A. "May" (Decina) Abro, age 92, of Framingham, died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Metrowest Medical Center, Framingham.
She was the wife of 54 years to the late Edwin Abro who died in 2001.
Born and raised in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Puma) Decina.
Mrs. Abro worked at Telechron in Ashland for many years and then for General Electric in Ashland.
She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Ann Marie Capobianco and her husband James of Framingham, Jane Abro of Framingham, Kenneth Abro and his wife Darlene of Northborough and Carol Garry and her husband Joseph of ME. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Josephine Culcasi, Pauline Fantoni, Connie Fiorio and Salvatore Decina.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Monday, April 22, 2013, at 9 AM from the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham, followed by her funeral Mass at 10 A.M. at St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverley Street (Rt. 135), Framingham. Burial will follow at St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Framingham.
Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2 – 4 PM.
