Nancy Campbell, age 93, of Island Lake, IL, wife of Vern Campbell, Sr. founder of Campbell Detachable Cab Company in Wauconda, passed away on April 10, 2013. She is survived by her daughters: Nancy (Zoltan) Rozsa of South Beloit, IL and Sara (Harlow) Brown of Murrayville, IL, sister-in-law Virginia Robinson of Hinsdale, IL, grandchildren Gregory (Theresa) Rozsa of Austin, TX, Michael Rozsa of Lincoln, NE, Robert (Elizabeth) Rozsa of Malta, IL, Alysan Brown of Murrayville, IL, Tyler (Jodi) Brown of Ste. Genevieve, MO, 8 great-grandchildren, niece and nephew. Nancy was pre-deceased by her parents Raymond and Geneva Robinson, her husband, Vern, and brother, John Robinson.
Nancy maintained active membership for over fifty years in the First Church of Christ Scientist in Wauconda serving in numerous leadership positions, Wauconda Friends of the Library, Barrington Associates, volunteer at Lake County Museum and a member of Wauconda Women’s Club. Nancy is known for her extensive world travels—she made it to all continents including Antarctica and 2 trips to Australia. Family was important to Nancy: she attended multiple athletic events of her grandchildren, graduations, weddings and baptisms and never missed the occasional family reunion. Always one with a smile and upbeat conversation, Nancy was well liked.
Cremation rites are accorded. A celebration of life will be held at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 10:00 AM until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 AM , Pastor Ryan Sutton is officiating. Private interment will be at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, IL.
Memorials may be given in Nancy’s name to an organization of the donor’s choice.
