Thomas E. Dauterman, 82, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at home.
He was born on November 20, 1930, in Fond du Lac, a son of Elmer E. and Ella O. Draheim Dauterman. He graduated from Fond du Lac Senior High School in 1948.
Thomas served with the Wisconsin National Guard and was a reserve of the United States Army from 1948-1957. On May 1, 1954, he married Jeannette M. Mueller at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Town of Forest.
Thomas was a wood pattern maker for Mercury Marine until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
He is survived by two children: Mark Dauterman of Fond du Lac and Jan (Douglas) Hamm of Rosendale; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Hamm; three sisters-in-law: Lorraine Neubauer of Oshkosh, Frieda Bloedorn of Fond du Lac, and Ruth Dauterman of Fond du Lac; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeannette, on September 7, 1997; three brothers: Verner, Roland (Lorene), and John; a brother-in-law, Leonard Neubauer; and a nephew, James Neubauer.
Private family services will be held with burial in Rienzi Cemetery.
