U.S. Veteran

Passed away peacefully on April 10, 2013. Preceded in death by his wife, Peggy O’Brien Mindrum; parents, Herman and Anna Mindrum; sisters, Mary Hurley Sarkison, Ruth Melady, Jean Kerwin, Connie O’Gara, and Terry Teisberg; Survived by daughters, Margaret Anne Mindrum, Letty Merrill (Paul), and Susie Tschann (Steve); grandchildren, Joseph, Margaret, and Mary Merrill; Teddy and Gregory Tschann; and many loving nieces and nephews. A heartfelt thank you for all the loving care Joseph received at Sholom Home. Bud was an honored veteran of World War II. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, winning awards for his forward environmental designs. Bud loved traveling with his family, time with his grandchildren, the company of his many close friends, walking his dogs, a good game of tennis, and the view of Lake Superior from his porch on Madeline Island. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM, Tuesday, April, 23, at Assumption Catholic Church (51 W. 7th, St. Paul). Visitation 4-7 PM, Monday, April 22, at O’Halloran and Murphy Funeral Home (575 S. Snelling Ave. St. Paul, 651-698-0796). In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare or donors choice. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
