Kenneth P. Crane

Kenneth "Ken" Crane, age 77 years, of Shawano (formerly of Marion) passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at Evergreen Care Center, Shawano.

Kenneth Parley Crane was born on December 13, 1935 in Chicago, IL, to Ralph and Florence (Egan) Crane. After graduating from high school in Chicago he entered the U.S. Army. Ken served in Germany from 1954 to 1956. He was a floor installer by trade, working in the Chicago area for close to 40 years. Ken moved to the Marion area in 1985 and then settled in Shawano in 2010. His interests included bass fishing, playing darts, shooting pool, and completing crossword puzzles. Ken especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Lorraine Dershay, and a son, Kenny Crane Jr. He is further survived by Lorraine's family: her six children, Bruce (Bonnie) Malueg of Fort Atkinson, Joyce (Richard) Wright of New London, Annette (John) Krueger of Marion, Nancy (Dale) Stish of Clintonville, Sally (Duane) Koeller of Clintonville, and Tammy (fiance Douglas) Korth of Big Falls. Lorraine has 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a brother, Arnold Kriesel of Marion. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Florence "Fluffy", two sisters, and three brothers.

Inurnment will take place on Saturday, April 13th at 10:30 AM at Roseland Cemetery, Marion. Military Honors will be provided at the cemetery by members of the American Legion Post #198 of Marion. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Marion, is assisting the family.
