Juanita V. Crawley, age 89 of Athens died Sunday morning, April 7, 2013 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens.
Born June 3, 1923 in Ashley, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Roger Barton “R.B.” Warner & Jesse Von McAdams Warner and the step daughter of the late Marie Jacoby Warner.
A 1942 graduate of Ashley High School, Juanita attended Bliss Business College. She worked for 10 years in Columbus as a clerk/ typist with the State of Ohio Department of Education, typing Teaching Certificates.
She was a member of the Central Ave. United Methodist Church, Belle White Class, Typographical Union Auxiliary, and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She enjoyed sewing, old Hollywood movies, watching the birds at her bird feeder, family photo albums and keeping up with family news.
Juanita is survived by her daughter & son in law, Daisy & Thomas Franz of Athens; two grandchildren, Andrew Franz and Katie Franz both of Athens; a brother, Harvey (Lucy) Warner of Ravenna; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents and step mother, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Marion M. Crawley, who died on Dec. 25, 2011; a son, Roger Crawley; and a brother, Paul Warner.
Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday 11:00 am at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens, with Rev. Wendy Lybarger officiating. Friends may call Friday 4-6 pm and Saturday 10-11 am at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.
