Bonifacio Rivera Aguirre, 85, passed away on April 3, 2013 in Blythe. He was born May 14, 1927 in Tornillo, Texas to Manuel and Bruna (Rivera) Aguirre.
Bonifacio came to the Palo Verde Valley in 1974 from Eloy, Arizona. He worked for many farms in the area, some including High & Mighty Farms, S & H Farm Labor, Kalian's and Budd & McClaines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Rafael Aguirre and sisters, Rosa and Isidra Barron.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Rivera; his children, Ramon Aguirre, Hortencia Gallardo, Enedino Aguirre, Magdaleno Aguirre, Juana Aguirre, Yolanda Chavez, Lorenza Amador and Bonifacio Aguirre Jr.; 29 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Visitation and Rosary are scheduled for Sunday, April 7th from 4-8:00 pm at Frye Chapel. Mass will be held Monday, April 8th at 10 am at St. Joan of Arc Church with burial services to follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.
