Henry L Brew

U.S. Veteran

On March 28, 2013 the angels came and sealed the lips of our beloved father and friend. God took him unto Himself where there is no weeping, no pain and no sorrow.

Henry L. Brew was born to the late William Brew and Kattie Bell Spottsville-Brew on November 19, 1933. He joined the church at an early age and was a devoted husband and father. Henry L. Brew was united in marriage in Houston, Texas on May 24, 1955 to Clara L. Aaron and from this union three daughters were born. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served 22 years before retiring. He went back to Nursing School and upon finishing he worked with the City of San Antonio. He then gained a job with the Veteran’s Administration, where he worked for fifteen years until fully retiring.

He is preceded in death by his parents (William and Kattie Bell), his loving wife (Clara), one brother (Bill Jr.), two sisters (Mildred and Marentha) and a grandson (Sean A. Montgomery).

Cherishing his memories are three daughters; Sharonn D. Brew, San Antonio, TX, Lourelia A. Tubbs of Temple, TX and Arleah B. Brew, San Antonio, TX, a God son Rodney Pledger, San Antonio, TX, Great Aunt, Beatrice Holsome, Compton, CA; three brothers, Charles Brew, Newark, CA. Terral Brew and William Clarence Brew of Colfax, LA; Six sisters, Gloria A. Stokes, Alexandria, VA, Effie Williams and Josephine Allen of Colfax, LA; Caesar Crosby, Alexandria, LA , Alma Gaines, Valparaiso, FL, and seven grandchildren, Roderick T. Brew, Monique Johnson, Christopher D. Brew, Cedric M. Brew, Myron L. Brew, Darnele and Danielle Tubbs, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
