George E. Goodrich Sr.

George E. Goodrich Sr., age 26 of Bitely, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 1, 2013 at his home. George was born on September 2, 1986 in Allegan, Michigan to Byron E. and Lisa (Laws) Goodrich and has been a resident of the area for the past 14 years. George graduated from Hesperia High School and had worked at Burger King as a cook for several years. George had been a junior firefighter at the Merrill Township Fire Department and enjoyed collecting knifes and swords and also ninja turtle collectables.

George is survived by his children, George E. Goodrich Jr.; Edward J. Goodrich; Elizabeth Ann Marie Reed; his mother, Lisa Laws of Thonotosassa, Florida; his father, Byron E. Goodrich of Bloomingdale, Michigan; maternal grandmother, Frances (Erway) Lyman of Bitely; maternal grandfather, Allen (Karin) Laws of Otsego; paternal grandmother, Wilma Goodrich of Bloomingdale, Michigan; his brothers and sisters, Jacob A. Laws of Grand Haven; Amanda Goodrich of Allegan; Tasha Goodrich of Allegan; Patti Thayer of Allegan; Byron Goodrich Jr. of Bloomingdale; a special friend, Brandy L. Benedict; several aunts, uncles and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grand parents, George and Alice Taylor; paternal grandfather, Byron Goodrich; maternal grand parents, Edward and Lucille Laws.

VISITATION : Monday, April 8, 2013 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Amazing Grace Acres Church in Bitely with Pastor Lucky Fulton presiding. FUNERAL SERVICES : Monday, April 8, 2013 at 1:30 at the Amazing Grace Acres Church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : To the George E. Goodrich Sr. family, c/o Crandell Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
