Clement “Chuck” Charles Bettridge, 52, of Longville, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 23, 2013 at his home.
Chuck was born December 19, 1960 in Panama City, Florida to James and Charlotte (Wynkoop) Bettridge. Following his time of service in the U.S. Army he moved to Bemidji where he met Jan and they began their life together. They lived in various places prior to settling in the Longville area where they have remained for nineteen years. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing. He was also a talented and very creative artist and showed his giftedness through his wood carvings, pencil sketches and woodburning. Chuck will also be remembered as a faithful, loving, loyal, and protective man who lived his life caring for others, and with a closeness to God.
Chuck is survived by his life partner of 29 years Jan, daughter Natasha Bettridge (Ricky), Father James Bettridge (Janet), Mother Charlotte Wynkoop (Kenny), Grandmother Marian (Harold)Quern, siblings; Jim Bettridge, Deb(Brian) Pierce, David Bettridge, Dawn (Jeff) Cheney, grandchildren; JR Bettridge, Richard Murray, Erica Murray, Tessandra Johnson, Dawn Thompson (Dale), Amber Johnson, great granddaughter Neveah, as well as Shannon Klebua, Bob (Kala) Bettridge, Chris Bettridge, Dave Bettridge, Mike Bettridge, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Chester Wynkoop.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Chuck’s life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Dennis Funeral Home in Longville with Pastor Mike Partch officiating. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 2:00 pm.
