Robert Louis Beson, age 74 of Lac du Flambeau, WI died on Saturday, March 23rd at his residence. Robert was born on May 17, 1938 in Hayward, WI the son of Henry George and Marcella (nee Engel) Beson. Robert served in the United States Army from August 16, 1955 till August 15, 1958 and was a proud member of the American Legion of Lac du Flambeau. Robert was an usher and a Men’s Club member of St. Anthony’s Parish in Lac du Flambeau, WI. He received his certificate of welding from the Greer Technical School in Chicago, IL and his small engine certificate for Nicolet College and was a Heavy Equipment Operator for 47 years with operating engineers local 139. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline DeFoe Beson and Children: Douglas (Debra) DeFoe; Cathy L. Beson, Patricia A. (Eric) Beson Maulson, Lori J. (John) Theobald, Sharon M. (Scott) Lewis, Suzanne (Charles) Beson Burgess and by 18 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Further survived by his Brother, William J. Beson and Sisters: Bonita L. Beson LeSieur and Betty Jo Beson Graveen and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Marcella Beson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26th at the Multi-Purpose Building in Lac du Flambeau, WI starting at 4:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 27th at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lac du Flambeau, WI with burial at Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors. Joshua M. Hastreiter, Laurence J. Mahner III, Aaron R. Mahner, Adrian S. Pierson, Willard R. A. Mahner, Charles S. Burgess and Nicholas DeFoe served as pallbearers.
