Tony Edward Fletcher

U.S. Veteran

Tony Edward Fletcher Jr., 79, of Pea Ridge, died Monday, March 18, at his home. He was born at Rogers, to Tony Edward Fletcher Sr. and Stella Helen Noland Fletcher. He graduated from Rogers High School, served in the US Army and was a supervisor at RTW from 1965-2002. He served on the board of Education in Pea Ridge for 15 years and the Benton County School Board for 10 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Fayetteville and the Moose Lodge in Springdale. He was a member of Twelve Corners Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Therese “Terry” Fletcher; twin infant daughters, Deborah and Ann Fletcher; two sisters, Leatrice Sigmon of Odessa, Texas, and Imandy Cunningham of Pea Ridge. Survivors are a son, Tony E. Fletcher III and Teresa of Centerton, a daughter, Tina M. Fischer and Richard of Rogers; one sister, Louise Taylor of Garfield; seven grandchildren, Theresa (Tessa) Fischer of Bentonville, Michelle Fischer Bachelor and Nate of Rogers, Christopher Fletcher of Edmond, Oklahoma, Johnni Sue Fletcher Earnst and John of Springdale, Anna Gray and Brad of Little Rock, Haley Jean Lyle of Centerton; Leah Teeters of Centerton; two great-grandchildren, Alice Teeters of Centerton and Adrianna Fischer of Rogers. Memorial service is set for Thursday, March 21, 2:30p.m. at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with Pastor Rick Booyer officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
