Mary Landgrave

Mary Lee Landgrave of Crawfordsville passed away Friday morning at home. She was 71.

Born November 27, 1941 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Mary E. Counts and Floyd Smith but she was raised by David McClain as her father. Her first marriage was to Donald E. McClure in Paris, Illinois, then to Dale Beard and then to Harold “Whitey” Landgrave. They are all deceased.

Growing up, she attended school in Pocahontas, Illinois and later, Crawfordsville High School. She was employed at R. R. Donnelley. She enjoyed quilting and cross-stitching. After living in Pocahontas and Crawfordsville, she lived in Sharpsville and Kokomo and wintered in Mesa, Arizona.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen Joan Addler (Ron), Donna Sue Knight (Paul) and Shari Lynn Harrington, three step-children, Sandi Smith (John), Sherry Francey (Wayne) and Ed Landgrave (Cathy), sisters, Shirley May Cox and Betty Jane Chessir (Chico), step-sister-in-lay, Harriet Moore and step-brother-in-law, Cecil Landgrave (Joyce) as well as friends, Gertie Cunningham, Joyce Hultz, Judy Morgan, Marilyn Minnick and Kokomo friends Joyce Butler, Mary Klem, Doris, Sally, April and Bea, sixteen grandchildren, including A.J. Hedge, Travis Harrington, (Jami), Stephanie Hedge, Jarrod Harrington, and Sharlotte Harrington, twenty great-grandchildren and two geat-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may pay their respects Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Services will be at 11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by burial at Ladoga Cemetery.
