Regenia "Gina" Spaw Hash Dukate, 74, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 11, 2013 at her residence in Franklin. She was born on January 29, 1939 in Liberty, Kentucky to Clayton and Ova (Chapman) Spaw. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy and husband Jim Reese of Franklin; grandchildren, Ashley Reese Gregg (Bryan) of Southport and Michael Reese (Katie) of Bargersville; longtime companion, Ed Porter of Franklin; sisters, Essie Workman of Franklin and Betty (Jim) Weddle of Franklin and brother-in-law, Clyde Cox of Franklin and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her parents, and brother and sisters, Vernon Spaw, Frances Kinnick, Esther Purdy, Ray Spaw, Louise Cox, George Spaw, Marita Spaw, Clifford Spaw and infant brother. She attended school in Sentinel Schools in Kentucky. Gina was employed by the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. She later was employed by Western-Electric in Indianapolis and Oklahoma, retiring after many years in 1986. She was a member of Franklin Memorial Christian Church and the Franklin American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post No. 205. Gina so enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She loved gardening, her animals, waterskiing, NASCAR racing, and her many trips to Las Vegas. Rev. Larry McAdams will conduct a service on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 4:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
