DERBY: Josephine Bove, 92, of Derby, peacefully entered into eternal rest on March 13, 2013, at Griffin Hospital. Miss Bove was born in Derby on Sept. 9, 1920, daughter of the late Joseph and Madelina Georgia Bove. A lifelong resident of Derby, she was employed at the former W.E. Bassett Co. in Derby for 40 years. She also worked at both the former Evening Sentinel and Lifetouch Studios until her retirement. Josephine was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Derby and a former member of the Derby Democratic Town Committee. She is survived by her loving and devoted niece and nephews, Anthony Rapuano (Brenda) of Wallingford, Madelyn Izzo (John) of Ansonia, John Bove (Vicki) and David Bove (Toni) of E. Norwalk, great nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Adam, David, Christopher and Alexandra Bove, Gabriella and Francesca Izzo and Emma Rapuano, cherished cousin, Frances Terlizzi of Derby and a dear friend to many. She was predeceased by a brother John Bove and his wife Mary Bove and a sister, Peirina “Petie” Rapuano and her husband Anthony Rapuano. Visiting hours will be held on Friday March 15, 2013, from 4-7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Saturday, relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral at 11:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at St. Mary’s Church in Derby.
