Reverend Shirley Mae (Honey) Geiger-Hall

Rev. Shirley Mae Geiger Hall was born May 6, 1951, in Irmo, South Carolina. She was a beloved daughter of the late Rev. Heyward Geiger Sr. and Maggie Alberta Pollock Geiger. She went peacefully into the arms of our Lord on March 7, 2013. A true spirit-filled woman of God, she loved the Lord with all of her heart. Shirley was a lifelong resident of Irmo, SC. She graduated from Chapin High School. She was employed by Honeywell, from which she retired after 29 ½ years. Shirley was one of the cornerstones of her beloved church, The Fruit of Spirit Christian Fellowship Church in Columbia, SC. Loving memories of Shirley will always be cherished by her faithful and devoted husband of 45 years, Jasper L. Hall Sr.; two loving sons, Jasper Jr. (wife, Sandy, and children, Joshua, Joseph, Abigail) of Weddington, NC, Jason Sr. (wife, Renada, and children, KayAnna, Jason Jr., William, Alala) of Irmo, SC. She is also survived by seven brothers, Heyward (Judith) Geiger, Ollie Henry (Stella) Geiger, Ernest (Jackie) Geiger, Franklin (Tana) Geiger, Floyd (Cathy) Geiger, Richard (Shella) Geiger and Lynnard (Anette) Geiger; four sisters, Margaret (Izell) Hall, Priscilla (Frankie) Little, Emily (Tim) Corley and Wanda (Yusef) Marshall; three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, The Fruit of the Spirit Christian Fellowship family; and a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Fruit of the Spirit Christian Fellowship Church, 1100 Sunset Drive, Columbia, SC, with burial in Bush River Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at 112 Burkett Road, Irmo, SC.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Newberry.
